マタイによる福音書第７章（欽定訳）

2013/04/16  ７章

1.　 [1]汝らは、裁いていてはいけない。汝ら自身が裁かれないためだ。
2.　なぜなら、汝が裁いているその裁きによって、汝らも裁かれ、また、汝らが量っているその量りで、汝らも反対に量り返されるからだ。
3.　なぜ[i]汝はあなたの兄弟の目にあるごみを見ながら、汝の目にある大きな角材がわからないのか？
4.　又、なぜ[ii]汝の兄弟に『あなたの目から、そのごみを取り除かせなさい。』と言うのか？見なさい。汝の目には大きな角材がある。
5.　偽善者よ、まず汝の目から大きな角材を取り除きなさい。そうすれば、汝ははっきりと見えるようになって、汝の兄弟の目からそのごみを取り除くようになる。
6.　聖なるものを犬どもに与えていてはいけない。又、[iii]汝らのもろもろの真珠を豚に投げてはいけない。彼らがそれらの物をその足で踏みにじって、[iv]汝らに向かって来ないためだ。
7.　求めていなさい。そうすれば[v]汝らに与えられる。捜していなさい。そうしたら汝らは見つける。叩いていなさい。そうすればそれは汝らに対して開かれる。
8.　求めている者は皆受けているし、捜している者は見つけ出している。又、叩いている者に対しては開かれている。
9.　[vi]汝らの中で、彼の息子がパンを求めているのに、石を与える人がどこにいるのか。
10.　又、彼が魚を求めているのに彼にサソリを与えるのか？ 
11.　たとえ、汝らは悪い質であると知っていても、[vii]あなたがたの子供たちにはもろもろの良い物与える事を知っているならば、[2]なおさらの事、[3]どんなにか、もろもろの天におられる汝らの父が、彼に求め続ける者たちに良い物を与えて下さらないはずがないではないか。
12.　だから、何でも人々にして欲しいと願う事はみな、汝ら彼らにそのようにしてあげなさい。これこそが法であり、又もろもろの預言なのだ。
13.　狭い門[4]から入りなさい。滅亡に続く門は広く、又その道は幅が広いからだ。そして、多くの人々がそれを通って入って行く。　
14.　又、命に続く門は狭くてその道は細い。そして、それを見つける人は少ない。
15.　しかし、偽預言者たちに気をつけていなさい。彼らは羊の衣をまとって汝らの所にやって来る。しかし、その内側は強盗のような狼なのだ。
16.　果実によって彼らを見分ける事ができる。（農夫は）茨共から葡萄の一房を集め、あざみからイチジクを集めるだろうか？
17.　そのようにすべての良い木は良い実を実らすが、悪い木は悪い実を実らせている。
18.　良い木は悪い実を実らせる事は出来ないし、悪い木が良い実を実らせる事も出来ない。
19.　良い実を実らせていない木は、すべて切り倒されて火に投げ入れられている。
20.　だから、汝らは確かに彼らのもろもろの実によって彼らを知るのだ。
21.　私に向かって『主よ、主よ、』と言う者が皆、もろもろの天の王国に入るのではない。もろもろの天におられます私の父のみこころを行う者が入るのだ。
22.　その日には、多くの者が言う。『主よ、主よ、あなたさまの御名によって私たちは預言し、あなたさまの御名によってダイモニオン共を追い出し、あなたさまの御名によって多くの有力な業共をなし遂げてきたではありませんか。』
23.　しかしその時、私は彼らにはっきり言う。『お前たちの事は全く知らなかった。私から離れて行け、不法[5]を行う者共！』
24.　そこで、私のこれらの言葉を聞いてそれを行うすべての人を、私は岩の上に彼の家を建てた賢い人にたとえよう。
25.　さて、雨が降り、洪水がやって来た。そして、風も幾度か吹いてきてその家に打ちつける。しかし、それは倒れない。それは岩の上に土台を置いているからだ。
26.　又、私のこれらの言葉を聞いてそれを行わないすべての人を、砂の上に彼の家を建てたある愚かな人にたとえよう。
27.　また、雨が降り、洪水がやって来た。そして、風が幾度かその家に吹きつけるとそれは倒壊してしまった。そして、その壊れ方はひどいものだった。」
28.　さて、イエスがこれらの事共を話し終わると、群衆たちはその教えに驚かされた。
29.　イエスが彼らに権威を持つ者のように教えられ、法学者たちのようではなかったからである。

Do Not Judge
7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 
2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 
4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 
8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 
9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 
10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
The Narrow Way
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Build on the Rock
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 
25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 
27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

8 章


1.　さて、彼が山から下られると、大勢の群衆が後を追って来た。
2.　すると、見よ、一人のレプラ患者が来て、彼を礼拝してこう言った。「主よ、あなたさまのおぼしめしでございますならば、あなたさまにはこの者を清くする事がお出来でございます。」
3.　すると、イエスは手を延ばして彼に触れ、こう仰せになった。「そうしてあげよう。清められよ。」すると、直ちに彼のレプラは清められた。
4.　それからイエスは彼に、「だれにも話さないように気をつけなさい。ただ行って、あなた自身を祭司に見せ、そして、彼らに証明するために、モーセが命じたささげ物をしなさい。」と仰せになった。
5.　さて、イエスがカペルナウムに入られると、彼の所に一人の百人部隊の指揮官が来て、彼に切に願って
6.　こう言った。「主よ、私の僕が麻痺でひどく苦しんで家で寝込んでいるのです。」
7.　すると、イエスは彼にこう仰せになった。「私が行って、その人を治してあげよう。」
8.　すると、その百人部隊の指揮官は答えて言った、「主よ、私はあなたさまに、この（私の家の）屋根の下に来ていただく価値のない者です。しかし、ただお言葉を下さい。そうすればわたしの僕はいやされます。
9.　と言いますのは、私も又権威の下にある者でございますが、私自身の下にも兵士たちがおります。そして、私が一人の者に『行け』と言えば彼は行きます。又他の者に『来い』と言えばその者は来るのです。又、私のこの僕に『これをするように』と言えば彼はそれをしてくれるのです」
10.イエスはそれを聞いて驚き、それから、ついて来ている者たちに仰せになった。「アーメン。私はあなたがたに言う。このイスラエルの中にさえ、これほどの信仰を私は見た事がない！
11.　そこで、わたしはあなたがたに言う。東からも西からも多くの者たちが来て、アブラハムや、イサク、ヤコブと共にもろもろの天の王国で横になる。
12.　しかし、王国の息子らは外の暗闇の中に投げ出され、そして、そこで泣き叫んだり歯ぎしりしている。」
13.　そして、イエスは百人部隊の指揮官に仰せになった、「行きなさい。そして、あなたが信じたようにあなたに起こるように。」すると、彼の僕はその時間の内にいやされた。
14．　それから、イエスがペテロの家に入ると、彼の姑が熱で寝込んでいるのをごらんになった。
15.　そこで、彼が彼女の手に触れられると、彼女の熱は去ってしまった。そして、彼女は起き上がって彼らをもてなした。
16.　夕方になると、彼らは彼の所に多くのダイモニオンの虜にされている人々を連れて来た。すると、彼は御言葉をもって霊共を追い出し、又悪いところのある人々を彼はすべてお癒しになった。
17.　こうして、預言者イザヤによって語られた御言葉が実現した。そこではこう仰せになっている。「彼はわたしたちの弱さをご自身が取り、彼ご自身がわたしたちの病を負われた。」
18.　さて、イエスは彼の周りにいる大勢の群衆を見て、彼は対岸に向けて出発するようにとお命じになった。
19.　すると、そこに一人の法学者が来て彼に言った、「先生、あなたの行かれる所ならどこへでも従って行きます」。
20.　しかし、イエスは彼にこう仰せになった。「狐たちはそれぞれの穴を持ち、空の鳥たちはそれぞれの巣を持っているが、人の子には頭を置く場所もない。」
21.　又、彼の弟子たちの一人が「主よ、先ず私の父親を葬りに行かせて下さい。」と言った。
22.　しかし、イエスは彼に仰せになった。「私についてきなさい。そして死人は彼らの死人が葬るにまかせておきなさい」。
23.　さて、彼がその舟に乗り込まれると、彼の弟子たちが従った。
24.　すると、見よ、海でひどいしけが起こり、幾度か波に呑まれてしまった。しかし、彼は眠っておられた。
25.　それで、彼の弟子たちは彼の所に来て、彼を起こしてこう言った。「主よ、私たちを助けて下さい。私たちは死んでしまいます。」
26.　すると、彼らに仰せになった。「どうしておまえたちは臆病なのか。何と小さな信仰なのか」。そして、彼は起きて風と海とをお叱りになった。すると、そこには大いなる静寂があった。
27.　そこで、彼らは驚いてこう言った。「この方は一体何者なのか。風や海でさえも彼には従順に従うのか」。
28.　さて、彼が対岸のゲルゲネサの国に来ると、墓場の中から非常に凶暴で、だれもその近くの道を通る事ができない二人のダイモニオンに取りつかれた者が出て来るのに会われた。
29.　そして、見よ、彼らは叫んでこう言った。「俺たちと、あんたとの間が何だっていうんですか？イエスよ、天の神の息子よ、まだ時が来ていないのに俺たちを苦しめに来たというんですか？」
30.　さて、彼らから離れた所に一群の豚の大群が飼われていた。
31.　そこで、ダイモニオン共が彼に願ってこう言った。「もし、俺たちを投げ出すのなら、あの豚どもの群れの中に行かせてくれませんか？」。
32.　すると、彼はその者共に仰せになった。「行け」。そこで、彼らは出ていって、その豚の群れの中に去った。すると、見よ、豚の群れは全部が一斉に駆け下って崖から海の中に飛び込み、水の中で死んでしまった。
33.　そこで、飼い手たちは逃げだし、町の中に入って、すべての事と、ダイモニオンに取りつかれた者たちの事を人々に告げた。
34.　すると、見よ、町の者たちは皆がイエスに会うために出てきた。そして、彼にお会いすると、彼らの地域を去るように[1]懇願した。

Jesus Cleanses a Leper
8 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 
2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Jesus Heals a Centurion’s Servant
5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 
6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 
12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
Peter’s Mother-in-Law Healed
14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.
15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.
Many Healed in the Evening
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.”
The Cost of Discipleship
18 And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side.
19 Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”
20 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
21 Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Wind and Wave Obey Jesus
23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 
24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 
25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 
27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Two Demon-Possessed Men Healed
28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes,[c] there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. 
29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
30 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. 
31 So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out, permit us to go away[d] into the herd of swine.”
32 And He said to them, “Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.
33 Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 
34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to depart from their region.

マタイによる福音書第９章（欽定訳）

９章

1.　そこで舟に乗り込み、ご自分の町にお帰りになった。
2.　すると、見よ、ある人たちかわ一人の麻痺患者を寝床のまま運んできた。イエスは彼らの信仰を見てその麻痺患者に仰せになった。「喜びなさい。子よ。あなたのもろもろの罪は赦されている。」
3.　すると、見よ、そこにいた数人の法学者たちが心の中で、「この男は、神の神聖を冒涜している。」と言い合った。
4.　そこで、イエスは彼らの思いを見て仰せになった。「なぜ、あなたがたはその心の中で悪い事を考えているのか。
5.　それでは、『あなたの罪は赦された』と言うのと、『起き上がって歩きなさい』と言うのとどちらがた易いか。
6.　しかし、人の子がこの地上でもろもろの罪を赦す権威を持っていることをあなたがたが知るために」そしてその麻痺患者に仰せになった。「起き上がってあなたの寝床を取り上げ、そして、家に帰りなさい。」
7.　すると、彼は起き上がり、彼の家に帰って行った。
8.　これを見た群衆は驚き、そして、このような権威を人々にお与えになった天の神をほめたたえた。
9.　さて、イエスがそこを去ろうとする時、マタイと呼ばれる徴税請負人が取税所に座っているのを見て、彼に「私に[i]ついてきなさい。」と仰せになった。そこで、彼は立ち上がって彼について行った。
10.　さて、その後、彼らが彼の家で席に座っていると、見よ、大勢の徴税請負人たちや罪人たちがやって来てイエスや彼の弟子たちと共に席に着いていた。
11.　それを見たファリサイ派の者たちが彼の弟子たちに言った、「なぜ君たちの教師は、徴税請負人たちや罪人たちと一緒に食事をしているのかね。」
12.　しかし、それを聞いてイエスは彼らに仰せになった。「強い者たちには、医者は必要がない。しかし、弱いところを持っている者たちには必要だ。
13.　行って、『私が望むものは、あわれみであって、犠牲ではない』とは何かを学びなさい。私が来たのは義人たちを招くためではなく、罪人らを招いて回心させるためなのだ。」
14.　ところで、ヨハネの弟子たちが彼に近寄ってきてこう言った。「なぜ私たちとパリサイ派の者たちとが多くの断食をするのに、あなたの弟子たちは断食をしないのですか」。
15.　そこで、イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「花婿が共にいる間に花婿の友人（息子）らは悲しむ事ができようか？しかし、彼らから花婿が取り去られる日が来る。その時は彼らは断食をする。
16.　しかし、古い着物に余裕のない布でつぎをする者はいない。それはその着物を引き破ってもっと悪くなってしまうからだ。
17.　又、彼らは新しいワインを古い革(の袋) に入れたりはしない。そんな事をすればその革（袋）は張り裂け、ワインは流れ出る。彼らはそのようなことはしないで、新しいワインは新しい革に入れる。そうすれば両方とも保たれる。」
18.　これらの事を彼が話しておられる時、見よ、一人の指導者が彼のもとに来て、彼を拝んで言った、「私の娘が、たった今息を引き取りました。しかし、来てあなたさまの御手を置いて頂ければ彼女は生き返ります。」
19.　そこで、イエスは立ち上がって彼の弟子たちとその人の後について行った。
20.　さて、見よ、十二年間も長血を患っている一人の女性が後ろから来て彼の着物の端に触った。
21.　彼女が心の中で、「もし、この方の着物にさわりさえすれば、私はなおる。」と思ったからである。
22.　すると、イエスは振り向いて彼女を見て仰せになった。「娘よ、喜びなさい。あなたのその信仰があなたを癒したのだ。」すると、その時から彼女はいやされたのである。
23.　それから、イエスはその指導者の家にお入りになり、笛を吹くものや、群衆が騒いでいるのを見て、
24.　彼らに仰せになった。「向こうへ行きなさい。その娘は死んだのではなく、眠っているのだ。」すると、彼らは彼を笑った。
25.　しかし、群衆を外に出すと彼は中に入り、その娘の手を取って娘をお起しになった。
26.　そこで、その知らせは、そのすべての地方に広められた。
27.　さて、イエスがそこを過ぎようとされると、二人の盲目の人が彼の後を追って来て、叫びながら言った、「ダビデの息子よ、私たちをあわれんで下さい。」
28.　そして、家にお入りになると、その盲目の人たちは彼の所に来た。すると、イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「あなたたちは、私にそのような事ができると信じているのか。」　彼らは彼に言った。「そうです。主よ。」
29.　そこで、彼は彼らの目に触れて仰せになった。「あなたたちのその信仰に従ってあなたたちに起これ。」
30.　すると、彼らの目が開かれた。そして、イエスは彼らに厳しく命じて仰せになった。「だれにもこの事を知られないように、心していなさい。」
31.　しかし、彼らは出ていって、その地方全体に彼の事を知らせてしまった。
32.　さて、一行がそこから出て行くと、ダイモニオンの虜になっている一人の言葉の話せない男が連れてこられた。
33.　それでダイモニオンを追放されると、その口のきけない男性が言葉を話したので群衆は驚いて言った、「イスラエルで、このような事は見た事がない。」
34.　しかし、ファリサイ派の者たちは、「彼は、ダイモニオン共の頭領によって、これらのダイモニオン共を追い出しているのだ。」と言った。
35.　さて、イエスはすべての町々や村々に出て行き、彼らのスナゴーグで教え、王国の福音を布告し、人々の中のすべての病気、すべての弱っている者をお癒しになった。
36.　それから、もろもろの群れを見て、彼らのために深く同情された。彼らが羊飼いのない羊のように、疲れて放り出されていたからである。
37.　そして、弟子たちに仰せになった。「収穫は本当に多い。しかし、働き人はわずかしかいない。
38. 　だから、収穫の主に、彼の収穫のために働き人たちを送り出して頂くように願いなさい。」

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic
9 So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city. 
2 Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”
3 And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!”
4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? 
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
 7 And he arose and departed to his house.
8 Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men.
Matthew the Tax Collector
9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.
10 Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 
13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting
14 Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
15 And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
 16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 
17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
18 While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.”
 19 So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples.
20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 
21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” 
22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
23 When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing,
24 He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 
25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
 26 And the report of this went out into all that land.
Two Blind Men Healed
27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”
31 But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.
A Mute Man Speaks
32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”
34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”
The Compassion of Jesus
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary　and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 
37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is　plentiful, but the laborers are few.

１０章

1.　それから、彼の十二弟子を召して彼らに汚れた霊を制してそれらを追い出し、又、すべての病、すべての体の弱っている所を癒す権威をお与えになった。
2.　さて、十二人の弟子たちの名前は次のとおりである。第一にペテロと呼ばれているシモーン、そして、彼の兄弟アンドレアス、ゼベダイの家のヤコボスと彼の兄弟、ヨハネース、
3.　フィリッポスとバルソロマイオス、ソーマスと徴税請負人マタイオス、アルファイオスの家のヤコボス、又、サダイオスの呼び名で呼ばれている者、レバイオス、
4.　カナニテースのシモーン、そして、彼を渡した者、イスカリオーテスのユーダスであった。
5.　イエスはこれら十二人を送りだす時に、彼らに命じて、こう仰せになった、「諸国民の道に入るな。又、サマリヤ人たちの町に入るな。
6.　それより寧ろ、イスラエルの家ゆの失われた羊の所に行け。
7.　行って、『もろもろの天の王国は近づいた。』と宣言して言いえ。8.　病人たちを癒し、レプラの人たちは清め、死人たちを蘇らせ、ダイモニオン共は投げ出せ。ただで与えられたのだから、ただで与えよ。
9.　金も銀も銅貨も汝らに入れておいてはならない。
10.　道筋のために財布も、二着のチューニックも、二足のサンダルも、また（予備）の杖も用意するな。働き人はその食物を得る値打ちがあるからだ。
11.　そして、町でも村でも入ったなら、その中のだれがふさわしいかを尋ね出して出発するまではそこに留まれ。
12.　そして、その家に入ったなら挨拶をせよ。
汝.　その上で、もし、その家が本当にふさわしければ、汝らの平安はその上に来る。しかし、ふさわしくなければ、汝らの平安は汝らの帰る。
14.　又、だれも汝らを受け入れず、汝の言葉を聞きもしないならば、その家、あるいはその町を出て行く時にの足の塵を払い落としなさい。
15.　アーメン。私はおまえたちに言う。裁きの日には、ソドムとゴモラの地の方がその町よりはより堪え易い。
16.　見なさい。私は汝らを遣すが、狼共の真ん中にいる羊のようだ。だから、毒蛇のように思慮深く、鳩のように直であれ。
17.　しかし、人々には注意していなさい。彼らはなをサンヘドリンに引き渡し、彼らのスナゴーグで汝らを鞭打つからだ。

18.　又汝らは、支配者たちと王たちとの前に、彼らと諸国民とに対して私のために証しをするために連行さ汝れる.　しかし、彼らが汝らを連行しても、何をどのように話すべきかを心配しないようにせよ。語時に与えられるからだ。
20.　語る者は汝らではなく、汝ら内にあって語っておられる、汝らの父の霊なのだ。
21.　しかし、兄弟は兄弟を、父は子を死に引き渡し、又、子供たちは両親たちに対して立ち上がり、彼らを殺す。
22.　そして、汝らは私の名のゆえにすべての人々に憎まれる。しかし、終わりまで耐え忍ぶなら、彼は救われる。
23.　しかし、彼らがこの町で汝らを迫害するならば他の町に逃げよ。アーメン。私は汝に言う。人の子が来る時までに、汝イスラエルのすべての町を巡り終える事は決してないからだ。
24.　弟子は師を越える事はないし、僕がその主人を越える事もない。
25.　弟子は師のようになれば十分であり、僕は主人のようになれば十分だ。もし、彼らが家の主人をベルゼブルと呼ぶならば、その僕たちに対してはどんなにか大げさに言うだろうか。
26.　だから、彼らを恐るな。覆われているものでそれを取り除かれないものはない。また、知られないままの隠し事もないからだ。
27.　私が闇で話している事を白日の下で語り、又、耳元で汝らが聞いている事を屋上で布告せよ。
28.　又、体を殺しても魂を殺すことの出来ない者共を恐れているな。それより、汝らを魂も体もゲヘナで滅ぼす力のあるお方を恐れよ、
29.　二羽のすずめは一アサリオンで売られてはいないか？しかし、彼らの一羽たりとも汝らの御父の許しがなくてこの地に落ちる事はない。
30.　しかし、汝ら頭の髪の毛さえもすべてが数えられている。
31.　だから、恐れているな。汝らはすずめ共よりもはるかに優れた者ではないか。
32.　人々の前で私を告白[1]する者は皆、私もまた、天におられます私の父の前で彼を告白しよう。
33.　しかし、人々の前で私を否定する者は、私もまた、もろもろの天におられる私の父の前で彼を否定する。
34.　私がこの地に平和を投じる為に来たと考えてはならない。私は平安ではなく、剣を投げ込むために来たのだ。
35.　私は、人を父親から、また、娘を母親から、嫁を姑から分離させるために来たのであり、
36.　又、家の主人に対して彼の家の者たちが敵となる。
37.　私よりも父母を愛している者は、私にふさわしくない。又、息子、娘を私以上に愛している者は私にふさわしくはない。」
38.　又、おのれの十字架を持たないで私の後についてきている者は私にふさわしくない。」
39.　おのれの命を見出している者はそれを失い、私のために命を失った者はそれを見出す。
40.汝らを受け入れている者は私を受け入れているのであり、又、私を受け入れている者は私を送られた方を受け入れているのだ。
41.　又、預言者の名に於いて預言を受け入れている者は預言者の報いを受ける。また、義人の名によって義人を受け入れている者は、義人の報いを受ける。
42.　又、だれでもただ一人の弟子の名に於いて、これらの小さな者たちの一人に一杯の冷たい水を飲ませてくれるならば、アーメン。私は汝らに言う。彼がその報いを失う事は決してない」。

Matthew 10

The Twelve Apostles
10 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Cananite,and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
Sending Out the Twelve
5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, 10 nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
11 “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.12 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
Persecutions Are Coming
16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 
17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 
18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 
19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. 
23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. 
25 It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! 
26 Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
Jesus Teaches the Fear of God
27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.
 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 
31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Confess Christ Before Men
32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Christ Brings Division
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;
 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 
37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 
39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
A Cup of Cold Water
40 “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
 41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
