１２章
1. その後、イエスは安息日に穀物畑を通られた。彼の弟子たちは空腹であった。そこで穂を摘んで食べはじめた。
2. すると、ファリサイ派の者たちがこれを見て彼に言った、「見よ、あなたの弟子たちが安息日にしてはならないことをしている。」
3. しかし、彼はその者たちに仰せになった。「あなたがたは、ダビデが彼自身と伴の者たちとが空腹となったときに何をしたかを読んだことがないのか。
4. 彼は天の神の家に入り、祭司たちだけに許され、彼も伴の者たちも食べてはならないささげ物のパンを食べなかったか？
5. それとも、あなたがたは、安息日に神殿にいる祭司たちが安息日を汚しても罪にならない事を、法で読んだ事がないのか。
6. そこで私はあなたがたに言う。神殿よりも大いなる者がここにいる。
7. しかし、もし、あなたがたが、『私の願うのは生贄ではなく、あわれみである。』とは何かを知っていたならば、罪のない者たちを非難する事はなかった。
8. 人の子は安息日の主でもあるからだ。」
9. そして、そこを出発すると、彼らのスナゴーグにお入りになった。
10. すると、見よ、そこに片手の萎えた一人の男性がいた。そこで、彼らは彼に尋ねてこう言った。「安息日に癒しをする事は、法にかなっているでしょうか。」彼らは彼を告訴しようとしたのである。
11. しかし、彼は彼らに仰せになった。「あなたがたの内の一人が一匹の羊を持つとして、それが安息日に井戸の中に落ち込んだなら、それを守って引き上げてやらないか。
13. それから、彼はその男性に仰せになった。「あなたの手を伸ばしなさい。」そこで、彼が手を伸ばしてみると、それはもう一方の手のように健全な手になった。
14. しかし、ファリサイ派の人々は出ていって集まり、どのようにして彼を滅ぼそうかと相談した。
15. しかし、イエスはそれを知ってそこを退かれた。すると、大勢の群衆が彼の後を追った。そこで、彼は彼らを皆お癒しになった。
16. そして、彼らに、彼の事が広く知られる事がないようにと厳しく命じられた。
17. それは預言者イザヤによって語られた事が実現する為であった。それには、こう仰せになっている、
18. 「見よ、私が選んだ私のしもべ、私の愛する者、彼の内に、私は私の魂の喜びを見出す！私は彼の上に私の霊を置く。又、彼はこれらの諸国に裁きを宣言する。
19. 彼は争わず、叫ばない。また、もろもろの大通りで彼の声を聞く者はだれもいない。
20. 彼は、裁きを勝利まで担いきるまでは、折れかかった一本の葦を折らず、消えかかった灯心を吹き消さない。
21. そして、諸国民は彼の御名に希望を置く。」
22. その時、一人のダイモニオンの虜になった男が彼のもとに連れて来られた。目が見えず、口もきけなかった。彼はその者をお癒しになった。それでその盲目で唖の者は話し、また、見るようになった。
23. そこで群衆は驚かされ、そして、言った、「この方がダビデの息子なのだろうか？」
24. ところがファリサイ派の者たちは、それを聞いて言った、「この者がダイモニオン共を投げ出したのではなく、ダイモニオン共の支配者のベルゼブルによっているのだ。」
25. しかし、イエスは彼らの思いを知って彼らに仰せになった。「内輪で分かれ争うすべての王国は荒廃する。又、どんな町でも家でも、内輪で対立すれば立ち行かない。
26. 又、もし、サタンがサタンを追い出すならば、自身で内輪もめすることになる。そうしたら、彼の王国はどうやって立ち行くのか？
27. 又、もし、私がベルゼブルによってダイモニオン共を追い出しているのなら、あなたがたの息子たちはだれによって彼らを追い出しているのか。こんな事だから、彼らがあなたがたの裁判人となるのだ。
28. しかし、もし、私が天の神の霊によってダイモニオン共を投げ出しているのなら、天の神の王国は確かにあなたがたの所に来ている。
29. 又、だれでも最初に強い人を縛らないで、どうやって強い人の家に入ってその上等の家財を略奪できるのか。縛ってから彼はその者の家を略奪する。
30. 私と共にいない者は私に逆らっており、私と共に集めない者は散らしているのだ。
31. だから、私はあなたがたに言う。だれでもすべての罪や冒涜は人々に赦される。しかし、聖霊にかかわる冒涜をするなら、その者たちは赦されない。
32. 又、だれでも人の子に逆らう事を言ってもその人は赦されるが、聖霊に言い逆らう者はこの時代でも来るべき時代でも赦されない。
33. 良い木は良い実を実らせ、悪い木は駄目な実を実らせる。そこで、その実からその木は知られる。
34. 毒蛇の子らよ、あなたがたは邪悪な者であるのに、どうして良い事を語ることができようか。心に満ちる事を口が語るのだ。
35. 良い人は、その心の良い宝（箱）からもろもろの良い物を取り出し、悪い人は、その悪い宝（箱）からもろもろの悪い物を取り出している。
36. だから、私はあなたがたに言う。人々の語るどんな無駄な言葉でも、裁きの日にはその事についての報いを受ける。
37. あなたがたのもろもろの言葉によってあなたがたは義とされ、又、あなたがたのもろもろの言葉によって罪を宣告されるからだ。」
38. その時、法学者たちとファリサイ派の者たちの数人が、「先生、私たちはあなたから、徴を見せて頂きたい。」と言った。
39. しかし、彼は彼らに答えて言われた。「邪悪で姦の世代は徴を求めている。しかし、預言者ヨナの徴以外には何の徴も与えられない。
40. ヨナも、大魚の腹の中に三日の昼と夜いたように、人の子も三日の昼と夜、地の中にいるからだ。
42. 南の国の女王が、この世代の裁きの場に立ってこれを有罪と定める。彼女は地の果てからソロモーンの知恵を聞きに来たからだ。しかし、見なさい、ソロモーンに優る者がここにいる。
43. しかし、汚れた霊が人から出て行った時、彼は水のない所を通り過ぎ、休憩の場を捜したが見つからなかった。
44. そこで彼は言う。『俺が出て来た、俺の家に帰ろう。』そして、帰って見ると、空いていて掃除がしてあった。
45. それから、彼は行って、彼自身より悪い七つの霊を連れて入り込み、その中に住みつく。だから、その人の最後の状態は始めよりも悪い。この邪悪な世代もそうなる。」
46. さて、彼がまだ群衆に向かって話しているとき、見よ、（彼の）母とその兄弟たちとが外に立っていて彼と話をしたがっていた。
47. そこで、一人が彼に言った、「ご覧なさい。あなたのお母様と兄弟たちとが、あなたと話しがしたくて外に立っておられます。」
48. しかし、彼は彼に話しているその人にお答えになった、「私の母とはだれか。また、私の兄弟たちとはだれのことか。」
49. そして、彼の手を彼の弟子たちの方に伸ばして、彼は仰せになった。「見なさい。私の母と私の兄弟たちだ。
50 . もろもろの天におられる私の父の望んでおられる事を行っている人こそが、私の兄弟、姉妹、そして、母だからだ。」

Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath
12 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
2 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!”
3 But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:
4 how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
5 Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?
6 Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple.
7 But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
Healing on the Sabbath
9 Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. 10 And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him.
11 Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12 Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.
14 Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.
Behold, My Servant
15 But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.
16 Yet He warned them not to make Him known,
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
18 “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen,
My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased!
I will put My Spirit upon Him,
And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel nor cry out,
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench,
Till He sends forth justice to victory;
21 And in His name Gentiles will trust.”
My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased!
I will put My Spirit upon Him,
And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel nor cry out,
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed He will not break,

A House Divided Cannot Stand
22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”
25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.
The Unpardonable Sin
31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy againstthe Spirit will not be forgiven men.
32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
A Tree Known by Its Fruit
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
The Scribes and Pharisees Ask for a Sign
38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
39 But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.
42 The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon ishere.
An Unclean Spirit Returns
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds itempty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers Send for Him
46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.
47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.”
48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?”
49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!
50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
