２４章
1. さて、イエスが神殿から去って行かれると、彼の弟子たちが来て、彼に神殿のもろもろの建物を指差した。
2. しかし、イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「これらの物どもを全部見ていないか。アーメン。私は言う。石の上にある石が、投げ落とされないままでここに残ることは絶対にない。」
3. さて、彼がオリーブ山に座しておられた時に、彼の弟子たちが人から離れ、彼の所に来てこう言った。「私たちにお話し下さい。いつそれらの事がおきるのですか。あなた様がお出でになることや、時代の完成の兆候は何ですか。」
4. すると、イエスは彼らに答えて仰せになった。「おまえたちは、だれかに過らせられないように注意していなさい。
5. 多くの者どもが私の名で『私が、キリストだ』と言いながら現れるから。そして、彼らは多くの人々をあざむく。
6. また、おまえたちはもろもろの戦争のことを聞き、また、もろもろの戦争のうわさを聞く。注意していなさい。惑わされないように。なぜならこれらの事は全て起こらなければならない。しかし、終わりはまだ来ない。
7. 民族は民族に向かい、王国は王国に向かって立ち上がるからだ。また、そこにはもろもろの飢饉や悪い伝染病や、地震がさまざまな場所で起こるからだ。
8. これらすべては、もろもろの悲しみのはじまりなのだ。
9. そのとき、彼らはおまえたちを苦しみに合わせ、また、殺すために引き渡す。そして、おまえたちは私の名のゆえに、すべての国民に憎まれる。
10. また、その時、多くの者たちがつまずき、また、互いに裏切り合い、互いに憎み合う。
11. そして、多くの偽預言者たちが起こり、多くの人々を欺く。
12. 不正行為が増し加わってくるので、多く人々の愛はしだいに冷たくなる。
13. しかし、終わりまで忍耐するなら、彼は救われる。
14. そして、王国の福音は、すべての住民に対する証のために全世界で説教される。
15. だから、お前たちが預言者ダニエルによって語られた、荒らす忌むべき者が聖なる場所に立っているのを見るならば、・・読む者はだれでも悟りなさい・・。
16. その時は、ユダヤにいる人々は山々に逃げなさい。
17. 屋根の上にいる人は、家にある何かを取りに下りてきてはいけない。
18. 野にいる人も、彼の衣類を取りに帰ってはいけない。
19. また、それらの日々に幼児を持つ人には災難だ。また、乳を与えている人々にも辛いことだ。
20. しかし、おまえたちは祈りなさい。おまえたちの逃げるのが、冬にならないように。また、安息日にもならないように。
21. その時にはひどい艱難があるからだ。それはこの世界の初めから今までにもなかったもので、これからもない程のものだ。
22. そして、もし、それらの日々が短くされないならば、肉なる物はだれも救われない。しかし、選ばれた者たちのために、これらの日々は短くされる。
23. その時、もし、だれかがおまえに、『見なさい。ここにキリストがいます。そこにも、』と言っても、信じてはならない。
24. 偽キリストたちや偽預言者たちが起こり、そして、大いなるもろもろのしるしを提供して迷わそうとするからだ。もし、できるならば、選ばれた人々をさえだ。
25. 見なさい。私は前もっておまえたちに言っておいた。
26. だから、もし、彼らがおまえたちに、『見なさい。荒野に彼がいる』と言っても行ってはならない。また、『もろもろの秘密の部屋にいる。』と言っても信じてはならない。
27. なぜなら、稲妻が東から来て西にまで現れるように、人の子の来る事もそのようになるからだ。
29. そして、苦難の日々の後に太陽は暗くなり、月は彼女の光を放たず、星々は天から落ちる。そして、もろもろの天の力が震われる。
30. そしてその時、人の子の兆候が天に現れる。その時、全地の民族は嘆き悲しむ。それから、彼らは人の子が、天の雲々の上に多くの権力と栄光と共に来るのを見る。
31. また、彼は彼のもろもろの使いたちをラッパの大いなる音と共に遣わす。そして、彼らは彼の選民を四方から、もろもろの天の果てから集めて来る。
32. 無花果の例えから学びなさい。枝が（樹液に満ちて）柔らかくなり、もろもろの葉が出て来る時、おまえたちは夏が間近いと知る。
33. その様に、おまえたちもこれらの事をすべて見るならば、それはまさにもろもろの戸口に迫っているものと知りなさい。
34. アーメン。私はおまえたちに言う。これらのもろもろの事がすべて起こってしまうまでは、この世代は決して過ぎ行かない。
35. この天と地は過ぎ去る。しかし、私のもろもろの言葉は、決して過ぎ去らない。
36. しかし、その日とその時については、ただ、私の父以外はだれも知らない。天の使いたちもそうだ。
37. しかし、ノアの日々がそうであったように、人の子の帰還もそのようなものとなる。
38. 洪水以前の日々には、ノアが箱船に入った日までは、彼らは食べたり飲んだりしていた。また娶り、娘を嫁にやっていた。
39. そして、彼らは洪水が来て、すべてを取り去ってしまうまで知らなかったのだ。人の子帰還（の時も）その様になる。
40. その時、二人の男性が野にいるならば、一人は取り去られ、そして、もう一人は残される。
41. 二人の女性が粉を曳いていると、一人が取り去られ、そして、一人は残される。
42. だから、待機（目を覚ま）していなさい。何時におまえたちの主が来るのかをおまえたちは知らないからだ。
43. おまえたちは知っていなさい。もし、家の主人が、泥棒がどの見張り時に来るのかを知っていたなら、彼は番をしていて彼の家に穴をあけて入られるような事は許さない。
44. おまえたちもまた、用意をしていなさい。おまえたちが想像していない時に、人の子は来るからだ。
45. さて、それでは、主が良い時に彼らにその食べ物を与えるために自分の家を任せる、信頼ができ、そして、思慮深い僕とはだれなのか。
46. その僕は幸いだ。彼がそうしているのをその主人が来たときに見られるならば。
47. アーメン。私は言う。彼は彼の財産のすべてを彼に任せる。
48. しかし、もし、その悪い僕が彼の心の中でこう言うとする、『私の主人は来るのが遅れている』
49. そして、仲間の僕たちを打ち叩き始め、また、酔っぱらって食べたり飲んだりしているならば、
50. その僕の主人は、彼が予想していない日、また、彼が知らない時に来る。
51. そして、彼を厳しく鞭打ち、（二つに切断し）彼の運命は偽善者たちと同じ様になる。そこでは泣き叫びと歯ぎしりとがある。

Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
24 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.
18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Parable of the Fig Tree
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven,[e] but My Father only.37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
The Faithful Servant and the Evil Servant
45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’
49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
